Bookmap Review 2026 for Futures Prop Traders
As of September 24, 2026, Bookmap sells four plans — Digital (free), Digital+ ($19/month), Global ($49/month) and Global+ ($99/month), with cheaper yearly billing and lifetime licences for Global and Global+ — and real-time futures data is always an extra monthly fee on top. For futures, Bookmap connects to Rithmic, dxFeed, CQG Continuum and its own BookmapData feed, and trading from the chart needs Global+. Of the prop firms we review, only Elite Trader Funding and DayTraders appear in our research as listing Bookmap.
- Plans: Digital free; Digital+ $19/month; Global $49/month; Global+ $99/month (billed monthly).
- Data is extra: BookmapData $34–$79/month, dxFeed futures $37/month per exchange, Rithmic $40–$101/month, per Bookmap’s pricing page.
- Chart trading: requires Global+.
- No partnership: FundingCodes earns nothing from Bookmap and has no discount to offer.
Independence note: FundingCodes has no relationship with Bookmap. We earn nothing from Bookmap, there is no affiliate or referral link on this page, and every link to Bookmap’s official site is a plain editorial link.
What Bookmap is and who it suits
Bookmap is a charting and order-flow platform built around the order book: its pricing page lists market visualisations with time and sales, volume, quote and delta columns, record and replay, and add-ons such as cumulative volume delta, large-trade alerts, footprint and DOM Pro on the higher plans. Bookmap’s own knowledge base says “the order book is a central functionality”, which is why it needs full-depth data to be useful.
It suits futures traders who read depth and order flow — resting liquidity, absorption, sweeps — rather than traders who only need candles and indicators. The trade-off is cost: the software plan and the market data are separate subscriptions, and chart trading sits on the top plan.
If you mainly want charting, alerts and a broader prop-firm platform footprint rather than full-depth order flow, see our TradingView review for futures prop traders.
For a Windows-based platform with footprint, volume-profile and DOM tools, our Quantower review separates software licensing from market-data costs and account-specific connection requirements.
Bookmap plans and prices
These prices were read from Bookmap’s pricing page on September 24, 2026. They are software prices only; market data is listed separately below.
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed yearly | Lifetime licence | Symbols at once |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Digital | Free | Free | Free | 1 |
| Digital+ | $19/month | $16/month | Not listed | 3 |
| Global | $49/month | $39/month | $990 | 10 |
| Global+ | $99/month | $79/month | $1,990 | 20 |
On the same page, the two Digital plans list delayed US stocks and futures plus real-time crypto, while the Global plans list BookmapData, dxFeed and Rithmic connections. Bookmap’s connectivity article describes Global as the plan that connects to stocks, futures and crypto, and Global+ as adding add-ons, chart trading and live trading sessions.
Futures market data (billed separately)
Bookmap’s pricing page states: “Real-Time Futures & Stocks Market Data fees are not included in the price of the Bookmap software subscription.” The futures data prices it listed on September 24, 2026:
| Provider | Listed price | Futures backfill |
|---|---|---|
| BookmapData | $34/month per exchange (CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX), or a $79/month CME bundle | 72 hours on the pricing page; 48 hours in the connectivity article |
| dxFeed | $37/month per exchange | 24 hours |
| Rithmic | $40–$101/month | 1 hour free; 24 hours costs $14/month per exchange |
Bookmap’s own pages disagree on BookmapData backfill (72 hours on the pricing page, 48 hours in the knowledge base); we report both. BookmapData requires a Global or Global+ plan, according to the connectivity article.
How Bookmap connects to futures data
Bookmap’s connectivity article says its packages “do not include data and brokerage services”: you connect a market data provider through your broker, or buy a data subscription through Bookmap. For futures it names these routes:
- Rithmic: market-by-order and full-depth data. Bookmap calls it “recommended for use with Bookmap”. Rithmic is not a broker; Bookmap says the same Rithmic credentials can be used for other platforms, and a plugin mode through R|Trader Pro lets one Rithmic login feed Bookmap and another platform at once.
- dxFeed: full-depth data for CME, CFE/Cboe VIX futures and ICE, bought through the Bookmap portal. Data only — orders go through cross-trading to a broker.
- CQG Continuum: Bookmap says it supports CQG Continuum but not other CQG products such as CQG IC.
- BookmapData: Bookmap’s own CME, CBOT, NYMEX and COMEX feed with market-by-order data. Bookmap states it does not provide brokerage services.
- NinjaTrader 7 and 8: data flows from the vendor into NinjaTrader and on to Bookmap. Bookmap notes most NinjaTrader feeds lack full depth; Rithmic gives full depth through NinjaTrader, but not market-by-order data.
- Other connections: the article also covers Plus500 order routing and brokerage, Tradovate, Interactive Brokers and TradeStation; the Bookmap learning centre lists connection guides for Rithmic, dxFeed, CQG, Interactive Brokers TWS, Tradovate, NinjaTrader, TradeStation, iQfeed and Cedro.
The connectivity article sums up the futures case: “If your broker supports any of these platforms, you can use Bookmap to visualize market data and trade… To trade from the Bookmap chart to your funded account, you need the Bookmap Global+ package.”
Using Bookmap with a prop firm account
This section uses only what our own published research records about each firm’s platforms. We have not tested Bookmap on any firm’s account, and no firm we review has told us it supports Bookmap beyond what our reviews quote.
- Elite Trader Funding: our Elite Trader Funding review (read September 19, 2026) lists Tradovate, NinjaTrader, TradingView, Rithmic, R|Trader, ATAS, Bookmap, EdgeProX, eSignal, Finamark, Investor/RT, MotiveWave, Quantower and Sierra Chart. Our comparison research adds that ETF warns a Rithmic data feed carries an extra monthly connection cost for accounts opened from January 28, 2026.
- DayTraders: our DayTraders review (read September 23, 2026) records Rithmic-based accounts with connection guides for Quantower, ATAS, Bookmap and Finamark.
- Bulenox: our research records Rithmic connectivity with NinjaTrader and numerous third-party front ends, and a warning in its Qualification documentation that third-party API access can add a $100 monthly fee. Our research does not name Bookmap among them.
- Alpha Futures, FXIFY Futures, QT Funded and Top One Futures: the platform lists in our research do not include Bookmap.
For a Rithmic-based prop account, Bookmap documents a direct connection using the Rithmic credentials issued for the account. Market Order Data (level 2) must be enabled, and Bookmap says a “permission denied” error means you should ask whoever created the Rithmic account to enable it. To place trades from the Bookmap chart you also need Global+. Check the firm’s platform list and data fees before buying either subscription.
Limits and caveats
- Two bills, not one. A Global or Global+ plan plus a futures data feed; neither price includes the other.
- Chart trading is Global+ only. Global shows the data; Global+ is required to trade futures or stocks from Bookmap.
- Depth matters. Bookmap is built on the order book. Feeds limited to 10 levels, or NinjaTrader feeds without full depth, show less than Rithmic, dxFeed or BookmapData.
- macOS limits. Bookmap’s connection table notes that connections built on .NET APIs are Windows-dependent and not supported on macOS.
- Unsupported routes. Bookmap lists CQG IC and TT.NET SDK as not supported.
- Vendor pages disagree. BookmapData backfill is 72 hours on the pricing page and 48 hours in the knowledge base.
- Firm rules still apply. A prop firm’s platform list, data fees and automation rules control what you can run on its account.
