About FundingCodes
Last updated: September 24, 2026
FundingCodes is an independent research site about proprietary trading firms, focused on futures prop firms. We publish firm reviews, side-by-side comparisons and discount-code pages. Codes are applied in the firm’s own checkout before we publish them; where a firm blocks that test, the page says so and names where the code came from.
What we cover
Most of what we publish is about futures prop firms: the evaluations they sell, their drawdown and consistency rules, payout requirements, platforms and total cost. Our prop firm reviews cover one firm each, our comparisons put two firms side by side, and our discount-code pages cover a single firm’s current code. Where a firm we review is not a futures firm, the review says so.
We also cover firms we have no commercial relationship with. Apex Trader Funding appears in our comparisons even though FundingCodes holds no affiliate link, referral code or discount for Apex and earns nothing from it.
How reviews are researched
Each review is built from the firm’s own public pages — homepage, pricing or plan configurator, rules and help-centre articles, and legal notices — read on a stated date. Prices are read from the rendered page, and a review names the date the figures were read.
When two of a firm’s own documents disagree, for example a marketing page and a help-centre article describing different payout cycles, we report both versions, name which document says what, and tell you to get the answer in writing rather than choosing the more flattering version.
Community evidence from Trustpilot, Reddit and X is attributed to its source and treated as individual claims we could not verify. Trustpilot scores are shown as third-party signals with the date we read them. Full detail is in our editorial policy.
How codes are checkout-tested
Before a code is published as verified, we open the firm’s checkout, choose a specific plan and account size, enter the code and read what the cart shows: the list price, the discount line and the total. We stop before payment; no purchase is made. Only the configurations we ran through the cart are described as checkout-tested. Other sizes are labelled as the firm’s published price or as not confirmed. Bulenox is the exception: its checkout refuses an affiliate’s coupon inside the affiliate’s own session, so Bulenox codes are read from Bulenox’s affiliate portal and their totals are calculated, and the Bulenox page says so.
The step-by-step method, including stacking tests and how expired codes are handled, is on how we verify codes.
What “verified” means here
- What is tested: the code in the firm’s own checkout, on the plan and account size named on the page, with the cart’s before-and-after totals recorded.
- When: the date of the test is printed on the page. It is a record of what the checkout showed that day, not a promise about later days.
- What evidence is kept: for each test we record the date, the plan and size, the list price, the checkout total and the wording of the discount line. Those are the figures the page publishes.
- Expired codes: once a code passes the end date the firm gave, the page stops presenting it as a code — no code box and no copy button. It may stay on the page only as dated history.
How FundingCodes makes money
Many links on this site go to firms through an affiliate or referral link, marked /go/ in the address. If you buy through one of those links, the firm may pay FundingCodes a commission, at no additional cost to you. Those links carry a rel="sponsored" marker so search engines can tell them apart from editorial links.
Being a partner does not decide what we conclude about a firm. Reviews of partner firms still publish their rule conflicts, payout complaints and weaker terms, and when a firm’s own public code beats the code issued to us, we publish the firm’s code and say why. Apex Trader Funding is covered with no affiliate relationship at all.
We do not award star ratings or scores to firms.
Who is responsible
Research and drafting are done by the FundingCodes team. Brandon King is the editor responsible for reviewing FundingCodes’ published editorial content. The provider’s current checkout, agreement and rules always control; see our Terms and Conditions.
