Forex vs futures prop firm comparison
QT Funded vs Alpha Futures (2026)
QT Funded vs Alpha Futures comes down to what you trade. QT Funded is a forex and CFD prop firm: it sells simulated forex and CFD accounts on MetaTrader 5 and TradeLocker, and our review states plainly that it is not a futures firm. Alpha Futures is a CME futures prop firm: its accounts trade CME Group products on CME, CBOT, NYMEX and COMEX, and our Alpha Futures review describes no forex product. The fees work differently too: QT Funded charges once per account, while Alpha's Zero, Standard and Advanced evaluations bill monthly and its Direct account is a one-time purchase. QT figures were read on September 13, 2026 and Alpha figures on September 11 and 16, 2026, for our reviews.

Conditional fit
QT Funded or Alpha Futures: which market are you trading?
Alpha Futures vs QT Funded is not a like-for-like prop firm choice: the two firms sell accounts on different markets, so for most traders the market decides before price or rules do. FundingCodes has referral relationships with both firms; the conditions below come from the rules and prices on this page.
- Choose QT Funded if you trade forex or CFDs on MetaTrader 5 or TradeLocker, want a one-time fee instead of a monthly subscription, and want the QT ONE rule set — a 6% target with no consistency rule and no news rule — and you will get the payout cycle for your plan confirmed in writing.
- Choose Alpha Futures if you trade CME futures, want an end-of-day trailing Maximum Loss Limit that stops trailing at your starting balance, and want up to four payout requests a month after five winning days of $200 or more, with per-request caps up to $15,000 on Advanced.

Rules
Forex and CFDs vs CME futures: how QT Funded and Alpha Futures rules differ
The first question is the market. Alpha Futures limits trading to CME Group products across CME, CBOT, NYMEX and COMEX, including the MBT and MET crypto contracts, which count as full mini contracts. QT Funded sells simulation-based evaluations and instant funded accounts for forex and CFD instruments, with account sizes from $5,000 to $200,000; our QT Funded review notes it has no futures instruments, so it does not replace a CME-based firm. Alpha Futures sits inside the Alpha Group alongside Alpha Capital Group and ACG Markets, but our Alpha Futures review describes no forex product from Alpha Futures itself.
QT Funded’s three plans differ mainly in rules. QT ONE has a 6% target, a 3% trailing daily drawdown and a 6% static maximum drawdown, with no consistency rule, no news rule and no stop-loss rule. QT TWO asks for 8% then 5%, requires a stop loss within 60 seconds and restricts news trading with profits forfeited. QT INSTANT skips the evaluation but adds a 30% consistency rule, the 60-second stop-loss rule and a drawdown lock plus a 3% buffer after a withdrawal. Those figures come from QT’s full plan comparison table, read on September 13, 2026. QT’s help centre describes the news rule as a 10-minute window around CPI, FOMC, Non-Farm Employment and USD PMI releases and lists different instant-account requirements, so confirm the rules for the plan you buy in writing.
Alpha Futures runs one drawdown model on all four plans: an end-of-day trailing Maximum Loss Limit that never moves backward after a losing day and stops trailing at the starting balance. It is set from end-of-day balances, but hitting it at any point, on floating equity or closed balance, liquidates the account. The plans differ on consistency: Zero has none in the evaluation, Standard requires 50% and Advanced 40%; once qualified, Zero and Standard apply 40%, Direct 20% and Advanced none. A Daily Loss Guard of 2% of the starting balance applies to Zero, to Standard once qualified and to Direct; Advanced has none at any stage.
Both firms sell simulated accounts. Alpha states that all its accounts trade in a simulated environment, and QT Funded states that no real trading occurs and that evaluation fees are subscription fees rather than client money or investment deposits. Neither firm guarantees qualification, funding or a payout.
What each costs: QT Funded's one-time fee vs Alpha's monthly evaluations
QT Funded prices each plan once, by plan and account size. At $25K its configurator showed QT ONE at $140 (list $350), QT TWO at $56 (list $140) and QT INSTANT at $92 (list $230) on September 13, 2026; across all sizes the promoted prices run from $17 to $400. No QT plan carries a monthly fee, which changes the reset math against a subscription firm.
Alpha Futures lists Zero at $89/$139/$279 a month for 25K/50K/100K, Standard at $129/$239/$349 and Advanced at $209/$349/$489 for 50K/100K/150K, and Direct at a one-time $349/$519/$689/$859 for 25K–150K, as published on September 16, 2026. No current plan charges an activation fee. Evaluation resets run from $79 on Zero 25K to $449 on Advanced 150K.
Promotion status: FUNDINGCODES took 60% off every QT Funded configuration we checkout-tested on September 15, 2026 — QT ONE $25K from $350.00 to $140.00. QT’s own public September promotion advertised the same 60% through September 30, 2026; that date belongs to QT’s promotion, not a confirmed expiry date for FUNDINGCODES. Our code matches QT’s promotion rather than beating it, and QT’s help centre prohibits coupon stacking. Alpha Futures issued FundingCodes code Brandon029274 on September 30, 2026, but buyer savings, eligibility, fees, stacking and expiry are unverified. The Alpha Futures and QT Funded discount code pages linked below carry each code’s evidence and current status.
The fee models reward different timelines. A QT Funded fee is paid once whether you pass in a day or a month; an Alpha Standard 50K costs $129 for every month you are still in the evaluation, plus a $109 reset if you breach. Price the months you realistically need, not just the first charge.
QT Funded vs Alpha Futures payout cycles, splits and request caps
QT Funded’s homepage headline reads “Get paid every 4 days,” and its plan comparison table lists a four-day cycle on QT ONE and QT INSTANT and a 14-day cycle on QT TWO, at splits of 70%, 100% and 80% respectively. Its help centre’s Performance Fee Policy puts QT 2 Step, QT 2 Step Elite and Instant Funded accounts on a standard 14-day cycle and does not mention QT ONE. That conflict is on QT’s own pages, so get the cycle for your exact plan in writing before paying.
Alpha Futures lets Zero, Standard and Advanced traders request up to four payouts a month, each after five winning days of $200 or more, for up to 50% of account profit per request; the trader receives 90% of the amount requested. Caps per request run from $1,000 on Zero 25K to $15,000 on Advanced at every size, with minimums of $200 to $1,000. Direct replaces the winning-day rule with a withdrawal profit target and 20% consistency. Alpha’s FAQ says requests are processed in 48 business hours or less.
The public records are uneven. QT Funded showed 3.7 out of 5 from 13,124 Trustpilot reviews when we read its profile on September 13, 2026, with post-evaluation breach disputes as the repeated theme; the widget on QT’s own site displayed 3.9 from 13,012. Alpha Futures showed 4.4 from 5,929 Trustpilot reviews on September 11, 2026, while its own site claims 4.9 from more than 17,000, and a run of 2026 Reddit threads alleges payout denials and resets. We have not audited either firm’s payout totals.

Platforms can rule out a firm before pricing does
Alpha Futures offers AlphaTrader, TradingView (connection powered by Plus500), WealthCharts, Deepchart by Volumetrica and Quantower (desktop PC only), and states that platform choice is not interchangeable after purchase. QT Funded offers MetaTrader 5 and TradeLocker; it states that MetaQuotes services, including MT5, are not available to US residents, who can use TradeLocker instead. Confirm the platform, your country’s eligibility and any add-on costs at checkout.

Frequently asked questions
Does Alpha Futures offer forex like QT Funded?+
Not according to our Alpha Futures review: Alpha Futures limits trading to CME Group products across CME, CBOT, NYMEX and COMEX, and the review describes no forex product. Alpha Futures belongs to the Alpha Group alongside Alpha Capital Group and ACG Markets, which this page does not cover. QT Funded sells forex and CFD accounts and has no futures instruments.
Is QT Funded or Alpha Futures cheaper?+
They charge differently. QT Funded charges once: a QT ONE $25K was $140 after QT’s 60% promotion (list $350) on September 13, 2026. Alpha Futures bills its evaluations monthly — Zero 25K is $89 a month and Standard 50K $129 — while Direct is a one-time $349–$859. Count the months you expect to need at Alpha against one QT fee, and check each checkout total on the day you buy.
Which firm pays out more often?+
QT Funded’s marketing pages and plan table show a four-day cycle on QT ONE and QT INSTANT and 14 days on QT TWO, but its help centre states a 14-day cycle for every plan it lists, so get the cycle in writing. Alpha Futures allows up to four requests a month, each after five winning days of $200 or more, with each request capped by plan at $1,000 to $15,000.
Does FundingCodes have a discount code for either firm?+
For QT Funded, FUNDINGCODES took 60% off every configuration we checkout-tested on September 15, 2026; QT’s own matching promotion was advertised through September 30, 2026, which is not a confirmed expiry for the code. It matches QT’s own TRADERS promotion rather than beating it, and codes do not stack. Alpha Futures issued FundingCodes code Brandon029274 on September 30, 2026, but buyer savings, eligibility, fees, stacking and expiry are unverified. Each firm’s discount code page carries the current evidence and status.
Does FundingCodes earn commission from these links?+
FundingCodes has referral relationships with both firms and may earn a commission when you use its links. That relationship does not determine a winner. This comparison is educational, not investment advice or a guarantee of qualification, funding or payouts.
